Holter monitoring
Holter monitoring records an ECG over a longer period during everyday activities. It helps assess rhythm disturbances that may not appear during a short ECG. Recordings of 24, 48 or 72 hours are available; the duration is chosen according to need.
Echocardiography
Echocardiography is an ultrasound examination of the heart. It helps assess the chambers, valves and heart muscle function. The doctor interprets the findings alongside other clinical information.
What happens at the appointment?
The consultation covers symptoms, previous illnesses and current medication. The specialist assesses your health and available test results, explains the findings and agrees a plan for further investigations or treatment.
