When and how is the result assessed?

For active acne, changes in new inflammatory lesions and redness are assessed. For scars, skin texture is evaluated after healing and further tissue remodelling. These outcomes are not interchangeable.

Scar improvement does not mean complete disappearance. Inflammation and scar results should be assessed separately.

Treatment course

For active acne, approximately 3–6 treatments at intervals of 2–4 weeks; scar correction may require a longer plan. The dermatologist determines the schedule, taking other treatments into account.

Sensations and recovery

Recovery differs between active acne treatment and fractional scar correction. Redness and sensitivity may occur; more intensive scar treatment may require longer healing.

Prices are per treatment for the relevant area, except for specifically marked packages of 6 treatments. Pre-laser consultation — 30 €, listed separately.

No. €150 is the price for laser treatment of active facial acne. The method, scope and cost of scar correction are determined after a separate assessment.

Will I have the same result as in the photo?

Not necessarily. The photo shows one patient’s result. Your outcome depends on your starting condition, the settings used, number of sessions and aftercare. A realistic goal is discussed at your consultation.

What should I tell the doctor before treatment?

Tell the doctor about medical conditions, medication, allergies, pregnancy, recent sun exposure and previous procedures. The doctor will confirm whether the treatment is suitable and how to prepare.
